CompTIA is launching an advisory council for career and technical education (CTE) for the purpose of facilitating a national dialog focused specifically on accelerating Tech career pathways.

Focus areas include challenges, trends, emerging tech, best practices, professional development, certifications, funding sources, articulation agreements and connecting with industry employers.

CompTIA National CTE Advisory Council

Council Member Benefits:

  • network CTE peers nationally
  • explore solutions for diversifying our workforce
  • discuss best-practices for creating alternative career pathways
  • connect with IT Industry leaders regarding tech employability skills and competencies
  • shape the CTE Tech education landscape

Commitment:

  • two-year term
  • approximately 22-40 hours per year
  • four quarterly calls averaging 1.5 to 2.0 hours per call
  • initiatives in smaller taskforces between quarterly calls for sub-committee work, 4.0 to 8.0 hours per quarter
